Cycle for Life Bike Tour

The North Carolina Stroke Association hosts its annual “Cycle for Life” bike tour each fall at Hanover Park Vineyard in Yadkinville, North Carolina. More than 150 cyclists participate choosing from among the 25-40-65-100 mile route options.

The proceeds from Cycle for Life support the North Carolina Stroke Association’s Grant Program. Grants are awarded to hospitals for the benefit of implementing stroke programs in their community, and in their hospitals. Since launching the grant program in 2008, the Stroke Association has granted over $62,000 to rural hospitals, statewide.

The tour includes good exercise, home-baked desserts and cookies, beautiful scenery, great food provided by California Fresh Catering, music, camaraderie, and wine tasting from among five Hanover Park Vineyard wines.

We invite you to view the photographs of the Cycle for Life bike tour, and mark your calendar to join us! Please check the NCSA Web site, www.active.com or the NC DOT Web site for upcoming tour information. Information is typically posted in the summer for the upcoming fall event.

"Great day for the ride. Homemade cookies at rest stops, courteous staffing....the ride was good and well mapped and marked. Will recommend this ride to my friends." - Cyclist participant in 2010, D. Blevins
