Women Honoring Women Luncheon

Each year, twice as many women in the United States will die of a Stroke than of breast cancer, and women now account for 60 percent of all Stroke deaths.

The North Carolina Stroke Association acknowledges the impact of Stroke on women with its annual Women Honoring Women Luncheons. These events are open to the public with proceeds going to benefit NCSA’s community Stroke prevention and education.

  • Above: NCSA Board Members Susan Gordon, Liz Kelly and Peg O'Connell join Women Honoring Women luncheon honoree Libby Puckett along with Jay Briley, president of Duplin General Hospital & Vice President of NCSA, and NCSA Executive Director Beth Parks. Puckett was honored at the inaugural Triangle Women Honoring Women Luncheon in Cary on Nov 4.

If you or a loved one are experiencing Stroke symptoms, call 911 and get to the hospital IMMEDIATELY! Treatments are available that may dramatically reduce a Stroke’s devastating effects—but they must be provided within a few hours of the onset of a Stroke.
