The symposium is designed for
neurologists, internists, family practitioners and other healthcare
professionals who care for patients at risk for atherosclerosis and stroke. |

Learner Objectives |

At the end of symposium, attendees
should be better able to: |
- List five risk factors for
arthrosclerosis and stroke
- Discuss the importance of IMT
as a risk for heart disease and stroke
- Describe the role of statins
for stroke prevention
- Cite three antiplatelet agents
used for stroke prevention
- Discuss surgical and
interventional options for treating carotid stenosis
